The Most Festive Places In Ontario

Tomorrow is the first day of December, and even though a trip to almost any store would have you believe it Christmas started 4 weeks ago, it is now time to hop into a full festive mode.

Nobody celebrates the holiday season like Canadians, just take a look at any major city area. Every town and city has their own holiday festivities and in this article, we will be taking a look at the best places in Ontario to bump up your holiday spirit into overdrive.

Everywhere in the article will be easily accessible with a car rental from one of our many Toronto locations.

The Toronto Downtown Core

Nathan Phillips Square Christmas

Last weekend was the official kickoff to the holiday season in Toronto with the Cavalcade of Lights in Nathan Phillips Square. The enormous Christmas tree was lit in front of a massive crowd of excited onlookers.

The square is just one of the many places to visit in the downtown core this holiday season though, in addition to the incredible skating rink and lights at the square the Hudson Bay store windows are just down the street. While the window unveilings are not as big as they used to be, walking by the Hudson Bay storefronts on a snowy December night will have you feeling like you are walking through a Christmas commercial.

No trip to Toronto in December is complete without a trip to the Christmas Market in the Distillery District. This market has everything, incredible food, last minute gift ideas and incredible art from local artists.
