2017 Chevy Malibu Review

Some cars are sporty looking head turners while others are more comfort-focused with a less than appealing exterior but what if there was a car with a sporty exterior and a luxurious interior? The 2017 Chevy Malibu combines a sleek exterior and an unbelievably comfortable interior to create the newly redesigned Malibu. The Malibu is new to our fleet and so far the feedback from customers has been outstanding. Easy to follow navigation and excellent handling in the snow are features every Canadian should be on the look for when renting a car in Toronto and the Malibu has it all.

Why go for the ordinary when you could have the extraordinary? The Lastest Malibu body style borrows heavily from British sports cars like Aston Martin and, more specifically, Jaguar. Just looking at it from the side you can see it has the classic Jag styling of a jungle cat ready to pounce.

Chevy really wanted to do something different with the Malibu but different sometimes comes at a price. The rear windows are designed on a slight slant and for taller folks, it can be a bit of a problem checking your blind spot, it takes a bit of getting used to having to duck a bit but after the first couple checks I was fine.

If you have a long drive ahead of you, say, a trip to Kingston the Malibu is the car for you! Not only is the infotainment system second to none the seats are comfortable and the back seats have plenty of room. I am 6’4” and have no problem getting comfortable in the back seat. Back to the infotainment center, the screen is massive, which is perfect for navigation. You can clearly see the next steps of your drive without taking your eyes off the road for too long. When your phone is connected changing songs and making phone calls is super easy and can also be done right from the steering wheel. That massive screen also doubles as one of the clearest backup cameras I have ever seen.

Gas Mileage

Cars of this size usually don’t have the same amazing fuel economy as their smaller compact counterparts but the Malibu is the exception to the rule, boasting a crazy 30 MPG (27 City-36 Highway).

The Drive

Driving the Malibu may take some getting used to if you are used to driving smaller cars but it shouldn’t take long to get the hang of it. The backup camera will take away any parking worries you may have and driving down the highway will feel like you’re on rails it is so responsive.

Having most controls on the steering wheel is very handy when making calls are changing the radio station. Of all the vehicles I have driven with Advantage, I would choose the Malibu as my daily driver.
